Scholarship Information
The Triangle Area Hotel Motel Association (TAHMA) has established a scholarship for full-time students enrolled in a hospitality industry related program in a State of North Carolina university or college. Scholarship(s) will be awarded in amounts ranging from $500-$1,500.
TAHMA has specific criteria that must be met in order to qualify for the scholarships. These requirements are stated below:
- Candidate must qualify as a second-year student.
- Enrolled as a student at their college/university in a hospitality program.
- Demonstrates an aptitude, interest and enthusiasm for the hospitality industry.
- Candidate must have at least a 3.0 average at the time of application (copy of transcript required for the application process).
- Application must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from either a professor or a recommendation letter from an employer, (if the candidate is working at a hospitality establishment while attending school).
- Candidate must be a student member of TAHMA in good standing. (Student Membership Registration can be found at this link).
All applications are reviewed by the TAHMA board of directors and scholarship recipient(s) will be selected based on best rubric score calculated on the criteria outlined in the application.
